We designed these files to be used as practice for our son to work on addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Please note that these are best used when your child knows how to read all their numbers and have already been exposed to the math function that they are working on.
Addition
These are best used when your child is working on speeding up their adding not learning it for the first time (mainly because when they are first learning the numbers are typically very low between 1 and 10). We used this set of files to help our son speed up and get to doing math in his head.

Please note that these files do have problems in which the solution is a negative number. We introduced our son to the idea of negative numbers in kindergarten and really focused on them in first grade. Make sure that your child understands what negative numbers are before you start using these files to try to limit their confusion.

Multiplication
These files go beyond the times tables that just work 1 through 10. We figured out that this really helped speed up our son on his times tables and made it so he could do fast multiplication in his head. Again these should be used once they know how to multiply basic numbers 1 through 10 then they can work to do the higher multiplications by breaking them down into ones they know (for instance 1 x 13 is the same as (1 x 10) + (1 x 3)).
