Cipher - A secret or disguised way of writing, a code

Encrypt - to take a message that can be easily read and understood and change it to be a message that only people who know how to read it can read it.

Decrypt - To take a message that has been encrypted and make it something that can be read and understood by many

Algorithm - A series of commands used to create a change in something, this could be a series of commands used to encrypt a message or a series of commands used to decrypt a message
