Touch (for Parents/Teachers)

This lab is very straight forward and easy for the kids to do. One thing that I did to make it easier was make up the two different solutions and divvy them up into individual containers for the kids to mix together. This allowed each of the kids to make their own discoveries and colors of silly putty. This also meant that every kid got to take this experiment home which is always fun for them to share with their parents. The only issue we ran into is that listening when adding the food coloring got much worse with the increased age of the child. The younger students listened and only added 3 drops of food coloring while the older students did far to much and made large messes. Make sure you have people on hand to help control the color or be available to divvy it out yourself to avoid this issue.
