Structures Glossary

Rectangular block - A rectangular structure has 4 long sides and two short sides. When the rectangular structure is rest on one of the long sides the structure is very stable, when the structure is resting on its short side the structure is prone to falling over onto one of its long sides.

Cube - In a cube all of the sides are the same and is a very strong structure

Pyramid - A pyramid typically has a triangle or a square base with 3 or 4 triangular sides that come together in a point at the top.

Sphere - is a 3-dimension circular structure, think of a ball. These structures are very strong for things such as submersibles, but as buildings are challenging as they would roll away in the wind.
